Russian Spetsnaz seal

The Russian Spestnaz is the fourth antagonist faction in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Special Ops, a custom first-person shooter game.

The Russian Spetsnaz, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Special Ops, are the elite soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces, and the fifth antagonist faction. Even though they attack the Special Ops unit two times, they are only in Laos and Cambodia to run operations with the local militias. Despite this, they kill multiple Hong Kong Gang members in one of the missions of the campaign (this may be because the Hong Kong Gang is not native to Laos and Cambodia). After Captain Kyle "Virus" Pierson and Captain Michael "Scorch" Williams steal one of the Hong Kong Gang's helicopters, the Russian Spetsnaz attack the Gang's camp. The reason they attacked is unknown.

The Russian Spetsnaz is comprised of specially trained soldiers of the standard Russian Armed Forces. The Russian Spetsnaz's leader is unknown, but it is run by a general. It has been rumored that the Russian Spetsnaz is also allied with the Illuminati, but this had not been confirmed.
